The annual Tony® Awards ceremony celebrating "Broadway's best" will be on June 7, and THEATER TALK, for the 23rd consecutive season, convenes a panel of journalist-critics to give their award predictions. This year, Jesse Green (New York Magazine), entertainment columnist Michael Musto (Out.com), Patrick Pacheco (The Los Angeles Times) and Elisabeth Vincentelli (New York Post), explain who will win the Tonys and why the winning candidates will triumph over all the others.

Considering the divergent opinions of seasons past, this year the panelists are in surprising agreement about who many of the winners will be. The votes, however, are split for others, including Best Musical, and are all over the place for Best Revival of a Play.

But the entertainment is not in the voting ... it's how the voters get there - from the actor who's "a ball of tics," to "bio-pic acting," to "no heat" BETWEEN the leading actors. The show is also loaded with clips from the nominated shows, giving viewers who have not seen these productions a solid sense of what and who our panel is talking about.

Tony Predictions 2015, co-hosted by Michael Riedel of the New York Post and Susan Haskins, premieres Friday, May 29 (2015) at 1 AM (Saturday morning) on Thirteen/PBS, and repeats in the NYC metro area on CUNY TV* Saturday 5/30 at 8:30 PM, Sunday 5/31 at 12:30 PM, and Monday 6/1 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM.

THEATER TALK is jointly produced by the not-for-profits Theater Talk Productions and CUNY TV. The program is taped in the Himan Brown TV and Radio Studios at The City University of New York (CUNY) TV in Manhattan, and is distributed to 100+ participating public TV stations nationwide. THEATER TALK is made possible, in part, by The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, The CUNY TV Foundation and The Friends of THEATER TALK.
