Variety reports that ratings for the CBS drama SUPERGIRL fell from last week's premiere episode yet remained in solidly in second in its time slot.
The show averaged a 2.2 rating/7 share in adults 18-49 and 8.9 million viewers overall in the 8 o'clock hour, down 0.9 in the demo (or 29%) from last week's debut by about the same in total viewers. It also delivered the same 2.2 rating in both the male and female side of the demo. Compared to the 8 o'clock hour on the opening Monday of 2014, "Supergirl" was up 16% in the demo (from 1.9) and 20% in total viewers (from 7.4 million). As BWW reported, last week's premiere of the superhero saga was the fall's top-rated debut in 18-49, 25-54 and total viewers. It remained No. 1 in total viewers in Live+3 estimates (surpassing 16 million), yet wound up in the number 2 slot among premieres in the demos behind NBC's "Blindspot."Image courtesy of CBS
