Phil Goodhew, a sixteen year veteran of Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, has been promoted to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Commercial Strategy, Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, it was announced today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution.

Goodhew will now expand his role from an EMEA focus to covering all international territories in alignment with the recent restructuring of the international sales efforts under Robert Blair in London. Phil and his team will be working with all the WBITVD sales executives as they develop sales opportunities and provide analytical and strategic support for transactions.

"Phil is a smart, experienced and strategic executive," said Schlesinger. "During his time in our division our business has become more complex and Phil has played a key role as we have transformed our deal making in EMEA. With all of the sales efforts now coordinated from London, I look forward to him making an even larger contribution by becoming involved in additional regions as well."

Goodhew moves up from Vice President, Business Development EMEA, a role he's held since 2007 supporting the development of WBITD's on demand licensing activity and negotiation of pay/free output deals, across EMEA. Goodhew joined the company in 2001. Prior to that, he was at a boutique strategy consultancy where he worked on various media and telecoms projects based in Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Middle East. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Bath.
