A little piece of history is about to be officially sold. Harpo Studios; the place where Oprah filmed her syndicated talk show is now being sold.

Per The Hollywood Reporter: "We have entered into a purchasing agreement with Sterling Bay for the four-building Harpo Studios campus in Chicago's West Loop," Harpo told Crain's Chicago Business in a statement. "We expect the transaction to be closed in 30 days. The property will be leased back to Harpo for two years, and the studio will continue to produce programming for OWN."

The 3.5 acres will most likely sell for $32 million, per Crain. Oprah left her talk show in 2011 to start her own channel, OWN.

Among employing some 200 people, Harpo Studios and Oprah's success are credited with bringing an economic and lifestyle upswing to a city once not so glamourous.
