ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK's Lea DeLaria Is Engaged!

ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK and stage actress Lea DeLaria just announced her engagement to fashion editor Chelsea Fairless on Facebook, saying:

"Despite their concerns about the patriarchal confines of marriage, actor / singer Lea DeLaria & editrix Chelsea Fairless of Brooklyn, New York are pleased to announce their engagement. No date has been set for the impending nuptials but it's safe to say that it will be the event of the season, or a total shit show."

She also included this hilarious photo, featuring a Photoshopped Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor:

E! News writes that DeLaria popped the question last month after the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

"Everyone saw how emotional I was at the SAG awards. I was so filled with love. I turned to her at the Netflix party that night and asked her to marry me. We announced it to all of our friends there," DeLaria said.

DeLaria met Fairless more than two years ago through her OITNB co-star Emma Myles (who plays Leanne on the show).

The actress has appeared on Broadway in ON THE TOWN, for which she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award in 1998, as well as THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. Off-Broadway, DeLaria has taken the stage in THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, LITTLE FISH, HAPPY DAYS and THE CAUCASIAN CHALK CIRCLE.
