Nickelodeon Launches New Math Curriculum Preschool App

Nickelodeon is off to the races with the launch of a new educational math app, Team Umizoomi: Math Racer, inspired by the first preschool series to focus entirely on math, Team Umizoomi. Available now, the race car themed app develops early math skills through an immersive number-based curriculum that includes number identification, counting, addition, subtraction and more. Complete with six different levels of difficulty, each curricular activity is defined and integrated into the app's interactive racing theme.

In Team Umizoomi: Math Racer, kids can customize their own vehicles in the Umi garage, or choose from one of their favorites - UmiCar, Shark Car, Umi Taxi or Ninja Car. With a simple swipe, kids can control their car as they race around the track collecting coins, avoiding obstacles and enjoying pit stop challenges that combine math curriculum with fun activities such as changing a tire or turning up the engine. As kids complete each race, they will earn trophies and decorative car decals to customize their vehicle.

Curriculum Features Include:

· Number identification

· Counting and enumeration

· Number comparisons

· Early addition and subtraction

· Number sequencing
