NBC's THE VOICE Tops 'DWTS' Debut By +50% Monday Night

NBC ranks #1 for Monday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49 and all other key demos, taking six of six half-hours among those nets in adults 18-49.

"The Voice" (2.7/9 in 18-49, 11.0 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) is #1 program of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics and wins the 8-10 p.m. time period by a +50% margin over ABC's premiere of "Dancing With the Stars" in 18-49 (2.7 vs. 1.8).

Outrates the "Dancing" debut in every key demographic and grows +0.6 of a rating point or +25% from its first half-hour to its fourth (2.4 to 3.0).

Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - season to date, Monday's "Voice" has grown by +25% going from L+SD to L+7 in 18-49 rating (from a 3.13 to a 3.91) and 2.3 million viewers overall (12.1 million to 14.4 million).

Upscale: Monday's "Voice" has delivered a solidly upscale audience, indexing at a 116 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current," including L+3).

"Blindspot" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) is the #1 scripted show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49 and ranks #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and all other key demos.

Grows week to week in men 18-49 and men 25-54 and maintains 100% week to week in adults 18-34 and will grow dramatically via time-shifting and VOD viewership:

L+7: "Blindspot" has increased by +79% this season in 18-49 rating (from a 2.28 to a 4.107 and 5.5 million viewers overall (8.2 million to 13.7 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

L+3: Last week's "Blindspot" grew by +63% going from "live plus same day" to "live plus three day" ratings in 18-49 (1.61 to 2.62) and by 3.3 million viewers overall (6.2 million to 9.5 million). "Blindspot" delivered Monday's biggest L+3 lifts in 18-49 rating (+1.01) and total viewers (+3.3 million) and the total-viewer increase is the best for any Big 4 telecast through the opening four nights of the week.

Upscale: "Blindspot" is generating a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 125 among adults 18-49 living in home with $100K+ incomes ("most current," including L+3).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.7/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2 with an encore).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

For the Week: NBC's "The Voice" has finished #1 for the Week of March 14-20 in adults 18-49 among primetime shows on the Big 4 networks and has joined with "Little Big Shots" to account for three of the week's top-five telecasts in that demo.

Monday's "Voice" ranked #1 in adults 18-49, Tuesday's "Voice" finished #3 and Sunday's "Little Big Shots" tied for #4. Also delivering top-25 ratings in 18-49 were Tuesday's 10 p.m. "Crowded" preview (tied for #16) and Monday's "Blindspot" (tied for #19). Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows.

NBC finished #2 for the week in total viewers, tied for #1 in women 25-54 and tied for #2 in adults 25-54.

NBC maintained 100% of its 18-49 rating for the same week last year (1.4 vs. 1.4) and was up +3% in total viewers (6.2 million vs. 6.1 million).

Monday's "Voice" also ranked #1 for the week in adults, men and women 25-54 and "Little Big Shots" ranked #1 among primetime Big 4 programs in kids 2-11. IN total viewers, NBC also accounted for three of the week's top-five shows on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, with "LBS" ranking #2 for the week.

Season to date, NBC is running within 0.1 of a rating point of #1 behind Super Bowl- and Grammy-boosted CBS in adults 18-49 and is tied for #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-34 and women 18-34.

NBC's total-viewer average of 8.538 million is the network's highest at this point in a season without a SUPER BOWL or Olympic boost since 2006-07 (9.480 million).
