NBCUniversal today announced the addition of 19 new members to the Women at NBCU (http://womenatnbcu.com/) Advisory Board, which meets several times a year to discuss issues around marketing to women. The Advisory Board is chaired by Lauren Zalaznick, EVP of NBCUniversal's Media Innovation & Cross Company Initiatives (MI&CCI), and includes a digital subcommittee - Women@NBCU - co-chaired by Zalaznick and Nick Lehman, President of Digital, MI&CCI.

The newest members, who represent a wide range of industries including beauty, auto, media, and entertainment, are: Kim Brink (VP of Marketing, NASCAR); Bobbi Brown (Founder/CCO, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics); Michelle Byrd (Co-President, Games for Change); Kim McCullough (Brand VP, Land Rover); Amy Miles (CEO, Regal Entertainment Group); Natalie Morales (News Anchor, NBC News' TODAY); Christina Norman (Executive Editor, HuffPost BlackVoices); Dawn Ostroff (President, Condé Nast Entertainment); Michelle Peluso (CEO, Gilt Groupe); Jonelle Procope (President/CEO, Apollo Theater); Keri Putnam (Executive Director, Sundance Institute); Linda Johnson Rice (Chairman, Johnson Publishing); Maria Shriver (Special Anchor, NBC News); Nita Song (President, IW Group); Salaam Coleman Smith (President, Style Network); Marisa Thalberg (VP of Global Digital Marketing, Estée Lauder Companies); Adaora Udoji (Founder/Managing Director, The Boshia Group); Alexandra Wallace (SVP, NBC News); and Carol Watson (President, Tangerine-Watson; President, Advertising Women of New York.)

"The accomplished, professional women who comprise our Women at NBCU Advisory Board are what make our meetings insightful, inspiring, and fun forums," said Zalaznick. "I'm honored to bring this new group of extraordinary women onto the board, and look forward to discussing the challenges and fresh ideas that can benefit all our respective businesses."

The news was shared this afternoon at a Women at NBCU board meeting, where board members Andra Ehrenkranz of Macy's, Beth Ferreira of Fab.com, and Estee Lauder's Marisa Thalberg presented their thoughts on innovating from within. Their insights provided a look at innovation from the perspective of more established businesses, as well as through the lens of a start-up. Additionally, NBCUniversal shared a preview of new research in The Curve Report, a bi-annual look at what's ahead in consumer culture. The theme of the upcoming issue, due out in late summer, is "reinvention," and explores innovative ways consumers and companies are navigating massive disruption across categories and lifestyles.

The Women at NBCU Advisory Board serves as a "think tank" where executives, entrepreneurs, and thought-leaders share best practices and discuss a variety of topics, such as marketing to the 21st century mom, integrating into the online auction economy, and innovating from within. Since launching in 2009, the Board has included top female executives from The Coca Cola Company, Procter & Gamble, Starbucks Coffee Company, L'Oreal USA, Fab.com, TaskRabbit, and Deutsch Inc.
