More Than 6.2 Million People Tune In to CBS SUNDAY MORNING 12/11

CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered more than 6.24 million viewers and continued as the nation's dominant #1 Sunday morning news program, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Dec. 11.

In addition to drawing more than six million viewers for the fourth time in the past five weeks, CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 1.3/07 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +8% in viewers (from 5.77m) and even in adults 25-54. It was also CBS SUNDAY MORNING's best audience delivery since May 2016.

Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +7% in viewers (5.98m from 5.58m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.2/07) compared to last year. CBS SUNDAY MORNING is the #1 Sunday morning news program in these measures.

Jane Pauley anchored Sunday's broadcast, which featured contributor Scott Simon's story about winners of the Carnegie Hero Medal, which since 1904 has been given to nearly 10,000 ordinary people who have risked their lives to save others. The broadcast also featured Tracy Smith's interview with actor Viggo Mortensen; Richard Schlesinger's chat with Billy Eichner, the star of the TV show "Billy on the Street"; Mo Rocca's interview with two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster; David Pogue's list of gift ideas for technology lovers; Conor Knighton's segment on his visit to Hawaii's lava fields; Bill Flanagan's appreciation of Sen. John Glenn; and Steve Hartman's segment about a young man recording the stories of World War II veterans.
