Country singer Miranda Lambert is set to join Broadway veteran Michael McKean on Law & Order SVU as an actress who accuses a producer (McKean) of sexual assault.

Lambert recently married country singer and star of NBC's 'The Voice', Blake Shelton. The singer won a Grammy award in 2011 as well as several CMA and Academy of Country Music awards. Lambert first appeared on TV in USA's 'Nashville Star'. She placed third in the reality singing competition. Her latest album, 'Four the Record' was released this past November.

McKean previously appeared on the New York stage in Superior Donuts, The Pajama Game, The Homecoming, Hairspray and Accomplice (Theatre World Award) on Broadway; and Woody Allen's A Second Hand Memory Off-Broadway. He's set to return to Broadway this Spring in THE BEST MAN.

NBC's LAW & ORDER: SVU is a hard-hitting series which chronicles the life and crimes of the Special Victims Unit of the New York City Police Department, an elite squad of detectives who investigate sexually based crimes. Dedicated Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), a seasoned veteran of the unit who has seen it all, heads up the department with empathy and professionalism, all the while dealing with her difficult past – as a product of rape and a witness to her mother's grief, she can personally relate to each victim she tries to help.

“Law & Order: SVU” is a Wolf Films production in association with Universal Television. Dick Wolf, Warren Leight and Peter Jankowski are executive producers.
