Mel B Teases SPICE GIRLS Reunion: 'Something Will Be Happening Pretty Soon'

During an appearance on the U.K. TV special ALAN CARR'S NEW YEAR'S SPECTACULAR, Mel B. continued to tease that a Spice Girls reunion is in the works, according to the Mirror.

With the British pop group's 20th Anniversary on the horizon in 2016, Mel B (aka Scary Spice) commented, "I think I'm the one putting all the rumors out there. To be serious, it is our 20th anniversary this year and it would be rude not to celebrate."

She went on to add, "So hopefully something will be happening pretty soon ... I can't tell you what it is yet."

The group's last got together for a reunion tour in 2007 and performed as a group during the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics, held in London.

The music of the Girl Power group was featured in the stage musical Viva Forever! written by BAFTA winning writersJennifer Saunders, (Absolutely Fabulous, French & Saunders) and featuring the multi-million-selling songs of TheSpice Girls. The show played at the Piccadilly Theatre in London's West End in 2012.

The Spice Girls performed a selection of their greatest hits in a spectacular performance at the closing ceremony of London's 2012 Olympic Games. Watch the video here
