David Janollari, Head of MTV Programming, and Chris Linn, MTV Executive Vice President of Programming and Head of Production, announced today that the network has picked-up "Caged," a new documentary series that chronicles a group of recent high school graduates trapped in small-town America whose lives revolve around the escape-hatch of MMA fighting, along with the critically-acclaimed "World of Jenks" from 25-year old award-winning documentary filmmaker Andrew Jenks, which returns for another season with expanded hour-long episodes that bring viewers the unique stories of three young people as only he can.

"These shows are all about authentic storytelling, from 'Caged,' which offers viewers a powerful look at the struggle of young people in small town America striving to make something of their lives and break free, to Andrew Jenks, who is the voice of his Millennial generation. Andrew will go to any length - even moving in and living among the people he's documenting -in order to bring viewers the most powerful, honest look at the human condition," said Janollari. "Both series underscore our commitment to bringing our audience real, diverse, resonant programming."

"Caged" takes viewers into the world of young people growing up in small town Louisiana, following a group of friends who are finding their way in the world after high school graduation as they struggle to make something of their lives and break out of the metaphorical cage they've found themselves in. This weekly documentary series will take an honest look into the world of young amateur MMA fighters, both inside and outside of the cage. One is dealing with his lost love, another tries to balance his young family and fighting, and another just yearns to make his family proud. It's impossible for them to leave these issues outside of the ring, and each week, viewers will see how their personal lives and choices affect their chances inside the cage.

For these modern day gladiators, every day is a fight to break free from the past, and to find their future. It's their chance to turn their lives around, and an opportunity to stand up and fight to make something of themselves.

"Caged" is executive produced by Joke Fincioen and Biagio Messina of Joke Productions. Dave Sirulnick and Amy Bailey are executive producers for MTV. The series is from MTV's award-winning News and Docs department.

In the reinvented second season of "World of Jenks," Andrew Jenks brings a new approach to his storytelling, as he captures the unforgettable journeys of three young people and their unique experiences over a six month period. The new one-hour format will allow for a more in-depth look at these individual's lives in order to ultimately tell a more complete story.

With over one million viewers per episode, "The World of Jenks" was a strong addition to MTV's Monday lineup, performing especially well with women 18-24 and male teens.

"World of Jenks" is executive produced by Andrew Jenks and co-executive produced by Dave Snyder this season. Brent Haynes and Brooke Posch are executive producers for MTV.

"Caged" and "World of Jenks" join previously announced pick-ups for new series "FriendZone," "The Inbetweeners," "Money From Strangers," "Savage U," "The Substitute" and two series from "Jersey Shore" cast members Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio.
