Kellan Lutz in Talks for THE EXPENDABLES 3

According to The Wrap, TWILIGHT star Kellan Lutz is the latest actor in talks to join the burly ensemble of THE EXPENDABLES 3 for Lionsgate.

Should Lutz sign on, he would join Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger along with Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage and Milla Jovovich.

Sources tell the site that the film will follow "a younger group of tech-savvy action heroes who initially clash with the older crew, though they eventually team up to save the day."

THE EXPENDABLES 3 is set to hit theaters on August 15, 2014.

In addition to starring in the Twilight saga, Lutz has had recurring TV roles on Model Citizens and The Comeback, The Bold and the Beautiful, CSI: NY, Summerland, Six Feet Under, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Heroes. His film work also includes Stick It, Accepted, and Prom Night.
