NBC's late-night lineup has dominated the ratings week of Aug. 29-Sept. 2, with "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" beating the combined adult 18-49 ratings of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and CBS's "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."
At 12:35 a.m. ET for the week, NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" outrated Kimmel and Colbert in 18-49, despite airing one hour later. For the week, "Fallon" averaged a 0.81 rating in adults 18-49, beating the combined 0.80 of Kimmel (0.41) and Colbert (0.39). It's the first time in nine months "Tonight" has out-rated its combined ABC-CBS competition in 18-49, since the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 4, 2015. Note that Kimmel aired an encore Friday night. Meyers averaged a 0.42 for the week, beating both Kimmel and Colbert despite starting an hour later. Note that Meyers was in rebroadcast on Thursday and Friday night. For the week, Fallon and Meyers outrated the ABC and CBS competition in their respective time periods in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.
