On the heels of the lightening rod Netflix series "Making a Murderer," which delves into the controversial Steven Avery case, Investigation Discovery (ID) announced today it has partnered with longtime production partner, NBC News' Emmy Award-winning Peacock Productions, to produce an exclusive FRONT PAGE special, hosted by veteran journalist and DATELINE NBC correspondent Keith Morrison. Aiming to provide viewers with critical details surrounding the case, ID began production this week on FRONT PAGE: THE STEVEN AVERY STORY, slated to air in late January to better inform viewers in light of the nearly 300,000 people calling for the release of Avery.

"We are excited to share with viewers the latest in this compelling saga," said Henry Schleiff, Group President, Investigation Discovery, AMERICAN HEROES CHANNEL and Destination America. "Following our investigation, we expect that FRONT PAGE: THE STEVEN AVERY STORY will present crucial testimony and information that addresses many of the questions surrounding Steven Avery."

Expanding on his reporting role with Dateline NBC, Morrison serves as host of DATELINE ON ID and FRONT PAGE specials. Each episode of FRONT PAGE covers a major case making headlines, within just weeks of the initial incident. These quick turn-around documentaries, or "instamentaries," feature interviews with people closely associated with the case and expert commentary from ID's roster of experts spanning criminal profiling, criminal psychology, investigative journalism, legal analysis, forensic Science and police investigation.
