Houston Rockets-L.A. Clippers Game 7 Delivers 5.8 Overnight Rating

The Houston Rockets victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 7 of their Western Conference Semifinals series delivered a 5.8 overnight rating on ABC, according to Nielsen. The broadcast peaked with a 7.7 from 6 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. This marks the highest-rated first or second round NBA playoff game on any ESPN network since May 2012.

Game 7 generated a massive 25.1 rating in the Houston market, making it the highest-rated NBA playoff game ever in the market, as far as records go back (2003). In Los Angeles, the game did a 9.5.

ESPN will exclusively televise the 2015 NBA Western Conference Finals - Golden State Warriors versus Houston Rockets - beginning Tuesday, May 19, at 9 p.m. ET. More details will be issued today.
