Hallmark Channel's Holiday Streak Continues with #1 Movie of the Day

Hallmark Channel delivered the #1 rated ad-supported Saturday night movie on cable for the fourth consecutive week with the November 24th world premiere of original movie, "Naughty or Nice". The film was the #1 cable movie and # 1 telecast for Saturday, garnering a 2.6 household rating and attracting nearly 4.8 million unduplicated viewers. "Naughty or Nice" set a new high as Hallmark Channel's #1 original movie of the year among the network's core demographic of women 25-54, as well as adults 25-54, and was the 2nd highest-rated telecast of the year among households and total viewers.

The network's success over the weekend carried into Sunday, November 25th with the premiere of original movie "Hitched for the Holidays", which placed as the #2 cable movie of the day, with a 2.5 household rating and 4.5 million unduplicated viewers. Combined, "Hitched for the Holidays" and "Naughty or Nice" positioned Hallmark Channel as the #2 cable network among households and total viewer rating, and #2 among households and total viewer delivery in primetime (Sat-Sun, 8-11p) for the weekend.

Among women 25-54 rating, "Naughty or Nice" was the #1 rated ad-supported cable movie of the day, the #1 telecast of the day, and the #2 movie of the entire week. The film was also the #2 cable movie of the week among households. For the Saturday 8pm-10pm time period, "Naughty or Nice" was the #1 cable television program in HH (2.6 rtg), #1 in W25-54 (1.7 rtg), and #1 in P2+ (1.5 rtg). In addition, "Naughty or Nice" placed among the top 5 in household and key demo impressions, including #1 in HH (2,297,000) and #2 in W25-54 (775,000). The original movie lifted Hallmark Channel to be the #1 rated cable network in prime time on Saturday among households and women 25-54 (2.2 HH rtg and 1.4 W25-54 rtg) and the #1 rated cable network for the entire day among W25-54 (.8 HH rtg).

"Hitched for the Holidays" was the #3 movie of the week, in addition to the #2 cable movie of Sunday, boosting Hallmark Channel to the #1 rated cable network for the entire day (1.4 HH rtg). In the 8-10p time period, "Hitched for the Holiday" delivered an average of 634,000 impressions among women 25-54 and ranked among the top 10 in household and key demo ratings, including #2 in HH (2.5 rtg) and #3 in P2+ (1.3 rtg). "Hitched for the Holidays" was also the #3 rated ad-supported cable movie of Sunday among women 25-54 rating.

Stuck in the crossroads of her life, holiday humbug Krissy Kringle (Hilarie Burton), accidentally receives a special delivery intended for Santa Claus in the Hallmark Channel original movie, "Naughty or Nice". Krissy uses the power of the "Naughty or Nice" book to un-do some "Naughty" deeds around her but finds that her newfound power isn't always so "Nice". Eventually, the "Naughty" list hits too close to home but with the help of her mother, Carol (Baxter), and father, Walter Kringle (Gross), Krissy discovers that the book's powers also reveal the nice in people, not just the naughty. Movie also stars three-time Emmy(R) nominee Meredith Baxter ("Family Ties," "Dan Vs"), Michael Gross ("Family Ties," "How I Met Your Mother"), Matt Dallas ("Kyle XY") and Gabriel Tigerman ("Skills Like This").

In the Hallmark Channel original movie, "Hitched for the Holidays", New Yorkers Rob Marino (Lawrence) and Julie Green (Henner) are feeling pressure from their meddling families to find a date this holiday season. After finding each other through a dating website, they agree to pose as each other's special someone but things get complicated when Rob's Catholic family and Julie's Jewish family get involved to help these two make it to the altar. As they double their efforts to keep the charade going through New Year's Eve, Rob and Julie are more than a little surprised when they discover their fake feelings may be a little too real. Movie stars five-time Golden Globe(R) nominee Marilu Henner ("Taxi"), Joey Lawrence ("Melissa and Joey"), and Emily Hampshire ("Ruby Gloom").
