Several weeks before the season one finale, FYI has ordered a second season of its hit docuseries "Married at First Sight." The extreme social experiment follows six brave souls yearning for a life-long partnership as they agree to a provocative proposal: getting legally Married the moment they first meet. Eleven one-hour episodes will premiere on FYI in 2015.

The controversial series has been a hot topic in the media since its season one debut on Tuesday, July 8, and continues to generate speculation over which couples are still together, or have chosen to file for a divorce - which will not be revealed until the series finale on Tuesday, September 9.

"'Married at First Sight' has truly captured viewers' attention and garnered awareness for FYI following our successful rebrand," said Jana Bennett, President of FYI & LMN. "The series reflects the authentic, relatable and universal journey - our search for true love. The quest will continue anew next year."

The fifth episode of season one premiered on Tuesday, August 5 at 9pm ET to 661,000 total viewers, 429,000 adults 18-49 and 408,000 adults 25-54. Versus the series premiere on July 8, episode five saw a growth of +232% with adults 25-54, +188% with adults 18-49 and +145% with total viewers. Overall, "Married at First Sight" has experienced continuous growth among all key demos since its debut and is averaging to-date 468,000 total viewers, 263,000 Adults 18-49, and 239,000 Adults 25-54.

In the second season, six new singles will make a courageous decision to marry a complete stranger, and a panel of experts will create what they believe are three perfect couples, based on scientific matchmaking. Over the course of several weeks, episodes will capture each couple's journey as they go from wedding, to honeymoon, to moving in together, to the daily struggle of working at their unconventional marriage. After several weeks together, each couple will make a decision: do they remain together or decide to divorce?

New episodes of "Married at First Sight" air every Tuesday at 9pm ET.

"Married at First Sight" is produced for FYI by Kinetic Content. Chris Coelen and Sam Dean are executive producers for Kinetic Content. Executive producers for FYI are Gena McCarthy and Liz Fine.
