Eva Longoria to Produce NBC Medical Drama

According to Deadline, Eva Longoria is set to executive produce a new medical drama for NBC via UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, along with IDENTITY's John Glenn. Katie Lovejoy wrote the script.

The project, currently titled CRITICAL, is described as "ER meets House and tells the story of a perfectionist Latina doctor who returns to her hometown to take a job at a prestigious hospital. But when a secret from her past, a mistake she made early in her career, comes back to haunt her, it will threaten to put the very fabric of her life in critical condition."

Eva Longoria is a Golden Globe Award-nominated, Screen Actors Guild Award-winning and ALMA Award-winning actress, producer, director, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Best known for her starring role on "Desperate Housewives," Longoria has several upcoming films, including "Frontera," opposite Ed Harris and Michael Peña; and "Refugio," written and directed by Academy Award nominee Demian Bichir. Through her production company, UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, Longoria has developed several television series, including "Devious Maids" and "Mother Up." Known for her service to her community, Longoria started the Eva Longoria Foundation to benefit Latinas through education resources; and Eva's Heroes, dedicated to aiding individuals with intellectual special needs.
