DAILY SHOW EP Adam Lowitt to Make On-Air Debut as Contributor Tonight

Adam Lowitt is set to make his first appearance as a contributor on "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" tonight, Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT with an in-studio piece.

Lowitt has moved up the ranks at "The Daily Show" joining in 2002 as an intern to his current position as an Executive Producer/Writer for "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah." Lowitt is also a six-time Emmy® award-winning Executive Producer/Writer for "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart." As a stand-up, he has performed on Comedy Central as part of "John Oliver's New York Standup Show" and in 2012 was selected to perform at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal as part of their "New Faces" showcase. In 2013, Lowitt and three other "Daily Show" staff members were deployed by the USO to the Middle East as part of a two-country morale boosting USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour. Lowitt has been performing standup for 11 years in clubs and at colleges across the country. He has been part of multiple comedy tours and is a regular in the New York City comedy scene.

"The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" airs Mondays-Thursdays at 11:00 p.m. on Comedy Central and is available to stream the following day on thedailyshow.com and the Comedy Central App. Viewers can follow "The Daily Show" on Twitter (4 million followers) and become a fan of "The Daily Show" on Facebook (5 million fans) and Instagram (200K followers).
