CBS's FACE THE NATION is #1 Sunday Morning Public Affairs Program on 11/6

CBS News' FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Nov. 6. FACE THE NATION delivered 3.99 million viewers and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54, the demographic most important to those who advertise in news. FACE THE NATION posted year-to-year percentage growth in viewers (up +14%, from 3.51m) and even in adults 24-54. (Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 58.7% of the CBS affiliates.)

Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is averaging 3.67 million viewers (up +6%, from 3.47m) and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54 (up +14%, from 0.7/03).

The Nov. 6 broadcast opened with an update from the campaign trail from CBS News White House correspondent Major Garrett and CBS News congressional correspondent Nancy Cordes. Dickerson then interviewed Democratic vice presidential candidate Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), followed by Chairman of the Republican National Committee Reince Priebus. CBS News elections director Anthony Salvanto then discussed the latest CBS News battleground tracker polls from Ohio and Florida. The political roundtable featured Slate and CBS News political analyst Jamelle Bouie; New York Times Magazine and CBS News contributor Mark Leibovich; Cook Political Report's Amy Walter; and Bloomberg's John Heilemann.
