48 HOURS: "Love, Hate & Obsession" (R) (10:00-11:00 PM) was first in viewers, adults 25-54, and adults 18-49, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for June 28, 2014.

48 HOURS averaged 4.32 million viewers and a 1.0/03 with adults 25-54 - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news - and a 0.7/03 with adults 18-49. Compared to the same night last year, 48 Hours was up +4% in viewers.

Saturday's broadcast featured an encore of Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS' report on the murder of one-time millionaire Lanny Horwitz, who was shot nine times and left in a pool of blood in the bathroom of his home in Jupiter, Fla. His ex-wife, Donna, who was supposedly reconciling with Lanny, was in the connected bedroom. Radley, his son, a former gun dealer, was also in the home. The police investigation uncovered a deeply troubled family struggling with debt, a father with an unusually close relationship with his female business partner, and a patriarch who allegedly was hard on his son and his ex-wife.

Ultimately, Lanny's ex-wife, Donna, was charged with murder. At trial, her defense attorney argued Radley had the Motive to kill his father, but a jury didn't buy that defense and Donna was convicted.

48 HOURS: "Love, Hate & Obsession" is produced by Sara Ely Hulse and Michelle Feuer. Alan Miller, Ken Blum and Marcus Balsam are the editors. Linda Martin is the update producer. Suzanne Allen is the senior coordinating producer. Anthony Batson is the senior broadcast producer. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer.
