CBSN, CBS News' 24/7 digital streaming news service, has been named best News & Information Channel as part of the Online Film & Video category in the 20th Annual Webby Awards. The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international award honoring excellence on the internet.

Since launching in Nov. 2014, CBSN has steadily attracted more viewers every quarter. During its record first quarter of 2016, CBSN delivered 48.6 million streams. Additionally, CBSN engagement levels remain high, with an average viewing session across platforms of nearly 40 minutes. CBSN has recently enhanced its news team and also announced it is expanding its live, anchored coverage and bolstering the number of original reports.

CBSN will be honored at the Webby Awards ceremony on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
