CBS Studios Developing Modern TWILIGHT ZONE Series

According to Entertainment Weekly, CBS Studios is reportedly in the Early Stages of developing a modern version of the horror/mystery classic THE TWILIGHT ZONE.

Fans are already skeptic of a potential reboot to such a beloved piece of television history, but luckily the cinematically adept Bryan Singer has signed on as executive producer. No writer or network is currently attached to the project.

The hit show, which ran from 1959-64 (followed by three more seasons in 1985 and another 2002), is still on the air. Syfy frequently presents day-long marathons of THE TWILIGHT ZONE on New Year's Eve and the Fourth of July.

THE TWILIGHT ZONE is a television anthology series created by Rod Serling. Each episode (156 total in the original series) combined drama with the eery aspects of a psychological thriller. It also featured fantasy, science fiction, suspense, or horror storylines. The episodes were known for concluding with a macabre or unexpected twist. Serling's THE TWILIGHT ZONE has become known as one of the most influential series to ever run on television.
