CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD posted a year-to-year gain in viewers and was again the #1 Sunday morning news program with viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for August 3.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 5.19 million viewers and a 1.2/07 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same week a year ago, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +11% in viewers (from 4.68m) and was even with adults 25-54.

Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY is up +6% in viewers (5.83m from 5.52m) and even with adults 25-54.

Sunday's broadcast featured Richard Schlesinger's report on professional athletes who have committed violence in their personal lives, Michelle Miller's profile of Oscar-winning actress Lee Grant, Elizabeth Palmer's visit with singer-songwriter Tori Amos and Mo Rocca's look at Freemasons.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
