British Academy Children's Awards Set for This November

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) today announced the key dates for the British Academy Children's Awards in 2014: the nominations will be announced on Tuesday October 21 and the ceremony will be held on Sunday November 23.

Introduced in 1996, BAFTA's Children's Awards celebrate talent from all areas of children's media including film, television, games and online. Categories include: Animation, Channel of the Year, Comedy, Drama, Entertainment, Factual, Feature Film, Game, Independent Production Company of the Year, Interactive - Adapted, Interactive - Original, International, Learning - Primary, Learning - Secondary, Performer, Pre-School Animation, Pre-School Live Action, Presenter, Short Form, Writer and the Special Award.

The BAFTA Kids' Vote, which is the audience award celebrating four categories - Film, TV, Game and Website, will also launch on Tuesday 21 October. Children will be able to vote online from a shortlist of nominees at www.baftakidsvote.org.
