For first time since 1991's 'The Mirror Has Two Faces', Barbra Streisand will make her return to the director's chair. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the legendary star of stage and screen has signed a directing deal with Aldamisa International. No specific film title has been announced as the actress is reportedly "mulling over several projects."

Commented Nadine de Barros, Aldamisa president of international sales and acquistions, "We are thrilled to provide underwriting for a filmmaker of her vision, stature and accomplishment." Mark Manuel's Kilburn Media will put up financing on the project, Aldamisa co-chairman Sergei Bespalov will produce alongside de Barros.

Streisand has recently resurrected her film work in front of the camera including last holiday season's 'The Guilt Trip' opposite Seth Rogan. The film marked her first starring role since The Mirror Has Two Faces.

Streisand's stage credits include West End and Broadway productions of Funny Girl, Broadway's I Can Get it For You Wholesale, and Off-Broadway's Another Evening with Harry Stoones. She is also well known for her performance as Dolly in the movie version of Hello Dolly.
