BWW Recap: Worshipping the Porcelain God on THE MINDY PROJECT

Morning sickness has arrived and it won't go away. How will Mindy and Danny do with will power on discarding their vices in preparation for the new Castellano baby? If you answered, "Not well," you'd be correct.

Mindy cannot table her morning sickness as it has become all day sickness. She is vomiting everywhere. So much so, that Morgan bedazzles a pink bucket for her. Because ONLY Morgan would think to do that. Danny is convinced that the sickness is caused by Mindy's poor diet. When they Skype in Peter for some advice, he concurs and puts Danny in charge of her nutrition. Mindy agrees, but only if Danny stops smoking. He even introduces her to "White Steak" better known as chicken.

Meanwhile, the search is on to update the staff at Shulman and Associates. They still haven't replaced Peter and with Mindy leaving to start her own clinic, they are short-staffed. Mindy runs into her old mentor, Dr. Suzanne Colllins (Guest Star, Vanessa Williams) and decides to bring her in. She dismisses all the candidates and brings her in for an interview. However, she is horrified by how "exhausted, hungry and/or insane" they all are and turns down the position. When one of the applicants returns to pick up something he left behind, he assesses Mindy's condition and tells her that she is vomiting from stress, not her diet. He also advises Danny to lay off Mindy with the pressure as someday he may bow down to pressure and he'll need Mindy to give him a break. Dr. C hires him on the spot and with that, Shulman and Associates welcome Dr. Adrian Bergdahl. (Guest Star, Dan Bakkedahl of VEEP and LEGIT fame.) Mindy and Danny finally have their tender moment and confess to each other that the reason they are pushing to get rid of vices is that they each are counting on the other to be around as they are all in this together now. They both have a hard road ahead of them, giving up smoking and eating junk food, but they seem committed to do the best thing for the newest Castellano boy. (Still rooting for Morgan to be godfather, if only for his Fedora selection.)

Morgan doesn't seem to be too happy about the new hire, but that's okay. I'm always on board for when Morgan has a rival. I don't know how long this new doctor will last, but I'm a big fan of Dan Bakkedahl so he is a welcome addition. Morgan will go through great lengths to protect his people and until he figures out if the new Dr. B is one of them, it will be fun to watch.

Danny and Mindy are still at an all time adorable high even when they are at each other's throats. Are we going to get to the birth by the end of the season? I'm assuming we will since we are still unsure of a Season Four. (Come on, FOX!!!!)

Tamra, Beverly and Jeremy seem to be eternally stuck in the background dropping their random one liners every once in a while, but they still slay me. I'm always rooting for more screen time for these kids, but keep those quips coming. They're priceless.

Lines I Love:

• Danny - Castellano babies... We have a saying in our family, first they make you puke, then they wreak havoc on your birth canal.

• Mindy - I have been eating for two my entire life and now I actually have an excuse. I am not gonna waste it on steel-cut oats.

• Beverly - The Melvins have already camped out in the conference room. It's very inconvenient. That's where I lock myself when I need to be racist.

• Peter - Hey! How are my favorite MILF and DILF?

• Mindy -Gandhi said, "The British are coming." And that's how he got independence for India. Danny - I don't doubt that you think that's true.

It's always nice to see Peter pop up every once in a while, but I still miss him greatly. At some point, are we going to acknowledge that he's Lauren's stalker and we need him back in NYC at the practice?
