Holy PRISON BREAK reunion! Barry (Grant Gustin) has to suspend his training to beat Reverse Flash when Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) returns with a new ally, Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell). Let's catch you up to speed on what went down in tonight's episode, "Revenge of the Rogues."

Barry continues to train to hopefully beat Reverse Flash. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) puts him through his paces courtesy of a drone armed with machine guns and missiles. Barry gets blown off course by one missile that hits a little too close. Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) almost reveals the fact that he is faking being in the wheelchair. Almost. Barry catches the second missile and throws it back at the drone.

Meanwhile, Captain Cold and Heat Wave have broken into a warehouse filled with expensive foreign cars. Heat Wave is surprised the Cold doesn't plan on stealing any of them. He merely is trying to get the attention of THE FLASH. It doesn't work.

Wells has convinced Barry he needs to remain focused on amping up his speed if he ever hopes to beat Reverse Flash (given that Wells is Reverse Flash, I'm still trying to wrap my mind around what Wells' end game is). Barry returns to the precinct to tell Joe that he agrees with Wells. But, hey, Cisco has developed a shield that should help the cops defeat Cold (or, in the very least, keep them from becoming human popcicles).

Cold isn't ready to give us, though. He plans on stealing a $25 million abstract painting titled (wait for it) "Fire and Ice." Shout out #1 to comic book fans: the painting is owned by the Rathaway's. Their son Harley (a.k.a. the Pied Piper) is dating Barry's boss Captain Singh and we are set to meet him next week.

Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), meanwhile, is still trying to decipher what her fiancee meant when he said "firestorm" before flying off, leaving a blazing trail. She finally figures out that he was saying F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M (or, Fusion Ignition Research Experiment and Science of Transmutation Originating R.n.a. Molecularstructures). Yeah, so Firestorm from here on in. Shout out #2 to the comic book fans: the paper was authored by Jason Rusch (the second person to take up the Firestorm mantle after the original Firestorm was killed).

Captain Cold and Heat Wave succeed in stealing the painting, but not before Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) manages to decomission Heat Wave's fire gun by a well-targeted bullet. Captain Cold is disappointed that THE FLASH still hasn't shown up. He tells Heat Wave he is obsessed with destroying THE FLASH because without him there is no one left in Central City to stop them.

Caitlin meets up with Rusch (Luc Roderique) to ask him about his 800-page paper on F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. Rusch is hesitant to talk and slightly paranoid. Turns out he worked on the project with a professor Stein (Broadway veteran Victor Garber), but no one has seen or heard from Stein since he went looking for money when the university shut the project down and let the military confiscate all of the research. She leaves the meeting with Rusch only to be kidnapped by Captain Cold and Heat Wave. Cold is betting that THE FLASH will save his friend.

Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Cisco has figured out that crossing the stream of the heat and freeze guns essentially cancels them out. I'd insert a "Ghostbusters" reference here, but the writers already beat me to it (Wells calls the film "funny" and Cisco says it "is surprisingly scientifically accurate.").

The lighter tone doesn't last. Barry gets word that Caitlin has been kidnapped. He is demanding THE FLASH show himself. Joe tells Barry "After tonight, everyone will know THE FLASH exists."

Barry shows up. Much fire and ice is shot. Eddie grabs a shield to save a downed FLASH. Cisco and Det. West save Caitlin.

Barry finally gets the pair to cross streams by bearing the brunt of both guns as he slowly walks past them. It works.

Iris (Candice Patton) is moving out of her dad Det. West's house. Barry moves back in with the man who raised him when his real father was incarcerated for the murder of his mom.

Final reveal: Heat Wave and Captain Cold are being transported to the big house. Heat Wave is still pissed at Cold. Cold tells him it was all part of the plan. Everyone knows THE FLASH exists now. The van shakes. The door opens and Captain Cold says"Hey, Sis."

And with that, we speed to a close. What did you think of the last minute addition of Lisa Snart (a.k.a. the Golden Glider)? Keeping it in the family, no? Comment below and follow me @triggercric and follow @BWWTVWorld for all the latest updates, scoops and recaps.
