International Sales Company LevelK today announced that "Motley's Law" will premiere in the United States in February 2016 on Al Jazeera America (AJAM).
"Motley's Law" provides a rare and timely insight into the justice system and human rights situation in post-war Afghanistan. The story follows Kimberley Motley, who works as a defense lawyer in Kabul, leaving her husband and three children at home in America. Motley is the first and only foreign lawyer licensed to litigate in the Afghan courts. For over seven years now, she has been determined to stay in Kabul and fight against corruption and human rights abuses. "Motley's Law" traces her experiences and what it takes to continue her work amid personal threats and national instability, which make it harder and harder for her to stay in Afghanistan. "Kimberley Motley's story is unique, there is no one else like her," said Kim Bondy, Senior Vice President of Programs for AJAM. "We're proud to share the story of her hard work and dedication fighting for those who need it, and to share a new perspective of what life is like in post-war Afghanistan."Videos
