BIO:
When KOMA was growing up in NY, he was smashing plastic guitars to Bruce Springsteen's MTV "unPLUGGED" commercials and having band practice with his imaginary band in his parent's living room. With an eclectic soundtrack, provided by hardcore and punk shows his brother took him to and his parents' collection of Tom Petty and Joe Jackson records, it's no wonder KOMA's debut record is equally as hybrid. "I've always wanted to take what I've learned, from Bruce's story telling and Costello's melodies/word play, and contrast it with production that was out of my comfort zone. For me, stretching the boundaries of what's comfortable and predictable is what makes it worth while and exciting." Bridging the gap between mod suits and shell-toe Adidas, KOMA teamed up with writer/producer team Sam Watters & Louis Biancaniello (Leona Lewis, The Saturdays, David Cook), Alex Da Kid (Eminem, B.O.B. Avril Lavigne), and Mike Caren (Cee-Lo, T.I., Bruno Mars) and set out to make a record that tips their hats as much to the Gorillaz as it does This Year's Model... KOMA is what happens when the Napster generation turns of age.
