John Pizzarelli's Memoir WORLD ON A STRING Released Today
Written by one of the best jazz guitarists in the business, World on a String: A Musical Memoir by John Pizzarelli and Joseph Cosgriff tells the story of a young man who went from growing up in a modest New Jersey home to selling out concert tours around the world. Pizzarelli's story is a tour through a musical who's who of the 20th century, with everyone from Benny Goodman to Frank Sinatra to Paul McCartney making an appearance. It is also a reflection on an enduring father-son relationship-Pizzarelli's father is the legendary guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli who serves as both teacher and colleague to the younger musician. Written for lovers of jazz, lovers of the American Songbook, and those that respond to a warm, well-written biography from a contemporary artist, World on a String has received advance praise from across the music and entertainment worlds.
