Blaire Alise & The Bombshells Release New Video + Album Out Now

Blaire Alise & The Bombshells have released the video for their song "Rolleiflex" today via Popmatters. The song appears on their new album My Eye, out now. Blaire Alise tells Popmatters: "Rolleiflex is about memories. It's about trying to capture all of the moments you can with the fear of not being able to take all of them in. Shot on Super 8 film, I wanted the video to feel familiar, like a distant memory. Who says you can't use time as a paintbrush?"

The 20-year-old Detroit native Alise is leading the vanguard of a new generation in garage-pop, embodying the swagger of early 60's rock, to edgier avant-garde proto-psychedelia, to classic bubblegum-pop whimsy, to a modern indie-rock sound with meticulously woven harmonies. Alise is currently based in New York where she performs (and tours) regularly with her band, The Bombshells.
