Hugh Jackman who portrays Marvel mutant 'Wolverine,' knows a thing or two about playing a superhero on the big screen At this week's Toronto Film Festival, the actor sat down with MTV News' Josh Horowitz while promoting his latest thriller 'Prisoners' and weighed in on the recent casting of Ben Affleck as the next Batman. Watch the appearance below!

"He's a tough guy," Jackman says. "He's a Boston kid, right? He's a tough guy." He adds, "I think Ben is a great actor. I think he's been underrated for a long time. He's obviously a great director. He's a very smart guy. That guy doesn't make decisions that aren't well thought out, that aren't great."

The upcoming Batman film, directed by "Man of Steel"'s Zack Snyder, will hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
