Warner Brothers has officially signed Peter O'Brien to adapt Linwood Barclay's novel TRUST YOUR EYES, Deadline has reported this afternoon. Todd Phillips (THE HANGOVER) has also been brought on to helm the film.

TRUST YOUR EYES tells the story of a map-obsessed schizophrenic who accidentally witnesses a murder in New York via a high-tech Google Maps-esque program - and convinces his brother to help him investigate the killing. Naturally, they soon find themselves as the killer's next targets. No casting has yet been announced the film-adaptation of Barclay's novel.

O'Brien is known for his adaptation of THE CHANCELLOR MANUSCRIPT, his work on THE JURY, and most recently, rewriting LINE OF SIGHT's script for WB.

Phillips and his Green Hat Films company are producing alongside Dan Lin.
