Lionsgate and OddLot Entertainment's all-star MORTDECAI has received its release date.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film, based on the popular three-novel anthology by Kyril Bonfiglioli, is set for a Feb. 6, 2015 theatrical bow. David Koepp's MORTDECAI stars Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Paul Bettany, Olivia Munn, Aubrey Plaza, Jeff Goldblum, and Oliver Platt.

In the film, Depp portrays art dealer Charlie Mortecai who "hunts for a stolen painting that is said to hold a secret code that can lead to a Nazi gold stash. He must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold."

Eric Aronson penned the script for the project being produced by Depp, Andrew Lazar, Christi Dembrowski and Gigi Pritzker.

Depp has proven to be a box office disappoinment - per THR, his latest, TRANSCENDANCE, took in only $11 million in its opening weekend, marking the third low-earner for Depp. The film cost $100 million.
