JuntoBox Films, a collaborative film studio for filmmakers and fans co-chaired by Forest Whitaker, today announced the lead roles of their newest feature "The Driver," cast using their proprietary online casting application and social media campaign on the juntoboxfilms.com website. Online video submissions for the lead roles of "Eddie" (male) and "Aspen" (female) closed on Friday, October 3, 2014, and fans had until Friday, October 10, 2014 to get their votes in for their top picks.

The final call-back auditions with the director and producer for the top 25 "Eddies" and top 25 "Aspens" took place the week of October 20 24, with 12 finalists flown in by JuntoBox from out of state. Says film's director Alex Ardenti "I'm incredibly excited to announce the two leads cast from the application are Hiram A. Murray who will play the role of Eddie and Krystal M. Harris will play the roll of Aspen. The quality of auditions made this selection process incredibly difficult, but we are very pleased with our final casting choices."

Additionally, JuntoBox is guaranteeing speaking roles to the "social winners" of the contest, Kam Perez and Casey Lupini, the two submitters that received the most votes overall.

"The response from the filmmaking community has been overwhelming positive, especially from actors who auditioned from out of state, and we have been approached by both producers and filmmakers about using the casting application" says Philippe Caland founder and Co-Chairman of JuntoBox Films. He added "the application performed well above our expectations in building an audience for the film even before production and we plan to use it on as many future projects as possible."
