Deadline reports that Broadway's Tracy Letts, Linda Emond and Danny Burstein have signed on to the cast of INDIGNATION, a big screen adaptation of the best selling novel by Philip Roth. The film will mark the directorial debut of James Schamusm who also adapted the novel. The actors will join previously announced stars Logan Lerman and Sarah Gadon on the project.

The story takes place in 1951 and follows "Marcus Messner (Lerman), the idealistic son of a humble kosher butcher from Newark, New Jersey. When Marcus leaves for college in Ohio he finds himself falling for a beautiful but troubled girl (Gadon), and in a dangerous conflict with the school's administration and its dean (Letts) over the political and sexual culture of the era. Burstein plays Max Messner, Marcus' father, and Emond plays his mother, Esther Messner."

Letts received a Tony Award for Best Lead Actor in a Play for his portrayal of George in the recent Broadway revival of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. He is the recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for August: Osage County, for which he also penned the 2013 film's screenplay. The actor, who currently stars in Showtime's "Homeland", is currently filming Adam McKay's The Big Short, based on Michael Lewis' bestseller.

Edmond is a three-time Tony-nominated and Obie-winning actress. Her filmwork includes Julie and Julia, Across the Universe, and Oldboy. Upcoming film projects include Three Generations, Jenny's Wedding and The Family Fang.

Grammy nominee and five-time Tony Award nominated actor Danny Burstein has appeared in Blackhat, Transamerica, and Boardwalk Empire. He will take on the iconic role of Tevye in Broadway's upcoming revival of Fiddler on the Roof.
