Amused Moose announces its Comedy Award showcase season at Soho Theatre in association with by 2entertain.

Be amongst the first in London to talent spot the stars of tomorrow—the showcases feature the very best emerging talent which won through to top the Amused Moose comedy awards.

Featuring award winners selected by an illustrious panel of comedy industry experts and fringe-goers, from almost 1,000 entrants to Amused Moose Laughter Awards and Amused Moose Laugh Off 2012 direct from last month’s Edinburgh Fringe.

Jim Campbell: ‘Nine-Year-Old Man’

Jim Campbell’s four-star debut solo show Nine-Year-Old Man, where 30 is the new 20 and money is broken, recently won through to the Top Ten in the Amused Moose Laughter Awards.

Plus three of this year’s breakthrough comedians, Richard Todd, Funmbi and Clint Edwards (the Amused Moose Laugh Off 2012 winner, People’s Champion and runner-up respectively) who will also delight comedy fans in this laughter packed showcase, which is totally teeming with talent.

Hyperlogical comedian Yianni, obsessed by numbers is diagnosed mildly autistic aged 33.3 (recurring) and finally understands why. An irreverant hour of number-based, logic-fuelled absurdity. Don’t panic. No maths knowledge required!

ALISTAIR BARRIE: URBAN FOGEY

Alistair is getting that little bit older, and lives in a city. He rather likes good tailoring and nice shoes, but sometimes wishes he was down with the kids, which proves he isn’t.
The List called him a ‘comic dandy’, he prefers ‘Urban Fogey’. The Independent went with ‘excellent’.

MARCEL LUCONT: GALLIC SYMBOL

Witty acerbic Frenchman seeks an audience for one hour only, for fun, adventure and maybe more. Must have own underwear, socks and breath but be prepared to have these charmed off, laughed off and taken away respectively.
