New York Arts & Sciences Salon Concert Will Feature New Works by Patrick Soluri, 4/30

A concert of new works for opera and ballet by composer Patrick Soluri will launch the New York Arts and Sciences Salon's 2015 season of live performances, with the concert "Burst Into Spring" Thursday April 30 at 8:00 PM at the Beethoven Piano Concert Space in New York City. After the concert Mr. Soluri will be present to meet with the audience and answer questions.

Mr. Soluri, whose compositions for orchestra, ballet, opera, film and television have merited recognition, is a resident of NYC and a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music. Most recently his one-act opera Embedded, won the 2013 Frontiers Competition at Fort Worth Opera, premiered in a fully staged production at Fargo-Moorhead Opera in 2014 and will be performed with the Fort Worth Opera in the spring of 2016. Mr. Soluri' s works for ballet include "To Be Continued," choreographed by Xenia Wiest, commissioned by Staatsballett Berlin for "Shut Up & Dance: Reloaded!" and "Murder at the Masque: Casebook of Edgar Allan Poe" commissioned and performed by Dances Patrelle in celebration of their 20th Anniversary Season and the Poe Bicentennial.

In addition to his works for opera and ballet Mr. Soluri has composed several film scores, and hundreds of tracks of music for film & TV including the Emmy winning WONDERPETS, with Sean Lennon on the film score for ALTER EGOS. His music has been featured on TLC, LOGO and DISCOVERY in the US and Europe, including SING IT LAURIE and AMERICA'S GOT TALENT
