Author Wayne A. Tanguay brings to readers a tale of danger and suspense through his new publication, "Terror at South Point" (published by Xlibris). The story revolves around a terror cell operating in the area close to the marina and the interaction of local and Federal authorities as well as charter boat captains to take the terror cell down.

The State of Maine is dubbed as quiet and aid back - the Mecca of many tourists from many of the northeastern cities and states. However, for one small Maine community, a few undesirables enter the state with ulterior motives. As mysterious and alarming chain of events start to occur at a small Southern Maine marina during their short summer season, many veteran charter captains at the marina begin to see a pattern. Eventually, a coast guard lieutenant, a local police detective and a cantankerous charter boat captain, all of whom are highly motivated to succeed, decide to work together. Will they be able to quell a potential terror attack?

Having been at the marina for over 20 years, Tanguay has had many personal experiences that inspired the story. His novel reflects the importance of civilian and authority cooperation. "The newspaper is filled with stories on how the government is trying to protect the people in the United States against terror threats. If the Feds would let the States handle local crime, even at a Federal level, we would live in a better society," he says.

A gripping, fast-paced read, "Terror at South Point" has enough intrigue and "down east humor" to keep readers interested on what will happen on the next page.
