Venus Evans Shares CAUGHT UP IN THE MIDST OF PAIN

Author Venus Evans decided to embark on a journey to write an urban fiction novel, because she is a reader herself. She wanted to create a novel that included characters that are complex, interesting and relatable. This desire finally came to fruition with her debut novel, "Caught Up in the Midst of Pain" (published by Xlibris), in which she weaves a compelling tale of romance and suspense that she hopes will keep readers captivated as the story keeps them guessing about the final outcome.

The story follows six childhood friends from an inner city neighborhood in Kansas City, Mo. Having come from different backgrounds, they all get caught up in the midst of pain. Through their hardship, some follow a life of crime while others push through the pain to find their success and even find true love.

"Caught Up in the Midst of Pain" is poised to give readers a rollercoaster ride through its tale of romance, action-violence and spirituality held together by an abiding tale of friendship. It is Evans' hope that, apart from giving them an entertaining read, her readers would also take the positive message in her story.

Venus Evans spent most of her life in Denver. She has always enjoyed writing short stories, song lyrics and poems. She attended Denver Technical College and took writing courses that enabled her to further advance her writing skills. She later attended Anthem College in Aurora, Colo. where she successfully obtained a Medical Assistant Diploma with honors.
