About the Author

Valerie Edmonds was born in Broadstairs, a small town on the southern coast of England. She moved nearer to London where she met, and later married, Elmer Edmonds, an American from North Carolina. They came to the US in 1955. Valerie resumed her college education after their two children entered school. She has an undergraduate degree in English and a Masters degree in Library Science. She was a Reference Librarian and a assistant professor for Mercer University's Tarver Library until she retired in 2009. Mrs. Edmonds also writes short stories and articles, some of which have been published in college publications.
