Thomas Birchmire, a dedicated poet, has completed his new book "Poetry by Flashlight": a collection of poems that are rife with symbolism and clever wordplay as they describe the human experience.

Birchmire notes that the title of this collection "is on the sign that's on my 'staff' of poetry when I'm at the Audubon Park Community Market to read poetry."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Thomas Birchmire's intriguing work covers a series of topics that are so diverse that they are easily relatable.

For instance, "Star Actors" is a sly commentary on the human desire to indulge on the details of life's morbid offerings, in this case a car accident. "Want Ads?" is a tongue-in-cheek confession that almost all human beings can make but choose not to.

His intriguing poetic structure is explained in a section at the back of the book, which he calls "Deca Verse ©". He recommends that all people try writing in this formula daily in order to exercise their creative right.

Readers who wish to experience this engaging work can purchase"Poetry by Flashlight" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
