MILWAUKEE, July 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Animal Farm and How to Win Friends and Influence People are just some of the books Kreigh Knerrsuggestsstudents read to improve their comprehension and prepare for the SAT and ACT. Knerr is a highly regarded standardized test tutor and educational app developer who just released Tips from the Top: A Tutor to the 1% Reveals His Tricks.

In 12 chapters, Knerr delivers insights based on his years of experience and love of research. He delves into the keys for standardized test success and addresses reasoning, reading comprehension, essay writing, math and science. He also shares his 10-week SAT and ACT course for high school juniors and seniors.

Tips from the Top: A Tutor to the 1% Reveals His Tricks is available in paperback for $9.95 at Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and can be downloaded for $19.95 at Amazon.com. Knerr intentionally set a lower paperback price to encourage students to have the book in their hands so they can mark pages, underline bits of content and reference it repeatedly.

"My goal is to give everyone access to an individualized test prep program not just the 1% students I tutor on a weekly basis," says Knerr. "If students dedicate at least six to 10 hours a week during the summer to follow my 'Outline of Success,' they'll be in good shape. Of course, I always recommend they invest more time since every one point improvement on the SAT or ACT can deliver an additional $1,000 in scholarship money."

While Knerr's book tackles the intricacies and trickeries of standardized tests, his writing is anything but standard. Two chapters feature a dialogue format between Knerr and his enterprising student. Another banters back-and-forth about the important mantra: "I'm an idiot." He also sprinkles witticisms and quips throughout to keep his young readers engaged.

Knerr has spent thousands of hours researching, studying and taking standardized tests and, for the past 15 years, has tutored students throughout the United States and the world. He's created two test prep apps QuotEd Reading Comprehension and QuotEd ACT Science and is currently finishing a third QuotEd app for the new SAT Math which is scheduled to launch in August.
