Author Polly Grey's new novel "Look at Me" (published by Trafford Publishing) depicts one family's struggle against the manifestation of a malevolent spirit.

"Although the book is fiction, I have used some events that really happened to relatives of mine," Grey says. "I was affected by their struggle and the exorcism that finally allowed them to regain peace."

The characters of "Look at Me" - Beth and Simon, their daughter, Jo, and Beth's mother, Annie - move into a new home, hoping it will hold a new start for their family after a difficult year. The supernatural occurrences in their new home seem benign at first, but when Annie unknowingly unleashes the wrath of a sinister ghost, Beth is in danger and Simon is powerless to help.

An excerpt from "Look at Me":

"I turned around and looked at the stairs. I started to tremble; I stood transfixed to the spot unable to move. I could feel the hairs rising on the back of my neck. There on the stairs was the grey lady, it was a mist in the form of a woman; you could see shades of grey."

Grey hopes her paranormal fiction will fascinate readers, appealing to their interest in the supernatural and the concept of an afterlife.
