SPRINGFIELD, Mass.

The widespread impact of violence, poverty, and climate change have left many feeling discouraged when considering the future of the planet.

Penny Gill, author of "What in the World Is Going On?" experienced emotions of despair and hopelessness until she began receiving teachings from the Tibetan master Manjushri. The Teacher encouraged her to reframe the crises around the world and instead see them as opportunities.

"We are poised to vastly expand our consciousness, allowing us to heal our deep fears and create sustainable communities which can serve all of us," Gill said.

Gill was thrilled by the Teacher's overwhelming optimism for the future, even with the seemingly endless stream of negativity in world news every day. She was particularly surprised by Manjushri's positive attitude towards technology and globalization.

"There are unique opportunities which our connectivity offers to us. Now, we can find each other around the world - our potential collaborators and inspiration," Gill said. "We are assuredly not alone in our hopes, and we can encourage and sustain each other."
