Paul Daugherty, a passionate writer and author, has completed his new book "Alvin": a bold and thrilling piece of fiction that will entrap the reader until the end of the book.

Paul Daugherty was born in Baltimore Maryland in the summer of 1953, the oldest of five kids raised on classics like The Twilight Zone, Outer Limits and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. He was an English Major in high school who never pursued college, but always retained a passion to write. It is in telling a story in such a way as to convey a larger message that makes writing worthwhile. It is that "gotcha" moment for the reader that pulls them in hook, line, and sinker.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Paul Daugherty's stimulating tale will make the reader wonder and question what they would do and how important their life is.

Author Paul Daugherty asks the reader "Do you count yourself amongst the living or do you walk amongst the lost? Lost or dead, it doesn't really matter because the only difference is, you're still breathing air. But what if you didn't know who you were or where you came from? What if you had no friends, no money, nothing to eat and all points led nowhere? What would you do? Where would you go? Who would you turn to? What if something was coming for you that wanted to take you back to that place you can't remember but swore you'd never go back to?"

Without memories people are just bags of bones, wrapped in flesh and sealed with a million and one flaws. But each person is uniquely different, one from another, and it's those memories that define who they are, not just what they see in the mirror. What if that something that was coming railed against everything a person believes to be true? How would a person deal with that? More importantly, what if there was a cure, a fix, a get out of jail free card? Would people take a leap of faith if it was just a phone call away? Paul did, knowing full well that once he dialed that number there was no turning back. The only way out now was through the belly of a beast no one should ever contemplate.

Never say never and never fall prey to complacence. It's what people don't see that will kill them. But how does a person kill something that's already dead? You kill them the same way as the ones still breathing air. Again, how would a person make that call? That all boils down to how important a person's life is to them.

Readers who wish to experience this gripping work can purchase "Alvin" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
