A famous Phantom talks favorite things!

Broadway regular and recent THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA headliner Norm Lewis discusses his role models, proudest career achievements and much more as part of a brand new interview with The Cape Cod Times.

Of note, Lewis will be performing alongside Broadway commentator Seth Rudetsky in Provincetown on August 7 and 8. More information is available here.

Revealing his proudest career accomplishment to date, Lewis shares, "[W]hen my Mom saw me do Broadway. She saw me do my first Broadway show, THE WHO'S TOMMY."

Elaborating on career accomplishments in general, Lewis opines, "I love every role that I have done, ever, because I find little jewels in all of them. The ones that people know me for, people think that might be what I feel is my greatest accomplishment... I'm very proud of those, but I've loved every role that I've ever done."

Discussing role models, Lewis offers, "If I had to choose one person ... that's a hard question, because I love so many different people for different reasons, I wish I could put them all into one person. But if I had to choose, I would say Sidney Poitier."

As for his favorite song? "My favorite song is by David Friedman, it's called 'We Live on Borrowed Time'. Album is, God, that's a hard one, anything by the group Earth, Wind and Fire. And musician, if you want to count singer, it would be Johnny Mathis; if you want to count musician as in playing an instrument, it would be, God rest his soul, B.B. King."
