"Grogan the Grateful Monster" is a new apple iBook for iPad, written and illustrated by award winning artist, author and advocate Richard Mclean who is currently studying a Masters of Education at Victoria University Melbourne.

The book is designed for the readers to consider gratefulness and mindfulness to positively influence a child's well being in terms of loving the self and being grateful for their worlds.

In illustrating and writing the iBook, Richard says, "It was a delight to engage my own inner child in doing these illustrations. My fine-art work can be quite a different feeling to the joyous and colourful imagery in this book. To contribute the sounds by reading the book and pitch shifting my voice was so much fun to do as well-an absolute delight to put together."

Richard has been an illustrator for two newspapers in his native Melbourne and takes his skills on an exciting different path with this book which was in his words "another tick off the bucket list!"

You can purchase the iBook from his website www.creativemusings.com.au or look it up on the iBooks store.

You can also download a free preview with this press release.

"This book helped me celebrate my own inner child and I'm grateful it has taken form in this interactive way," Richard said.
